Type 2 Diabetes Exercise Program

Active Answers Health is offering small group exercise classes, rebated through Medicare, for individuals with type 2 diabetes.

Sessions are designed and run by an Accredited Exercise Physiologist who is trained to understand your conditions, and provide safe, effective, and quality care specific to you.

The benefits of this program include improved metabolic control, decrease in blood sugar levels, decrease in body fat, and enhanced strength, cardiovascular health, balance, bone health, mental health, and improved quality of life. Additionally, client education throughout our sessions will aid understanding of your body, diabetes, exercise, food consumption, and health science.

What do I need to wear/bring to my first session?

Active wear, drink bottle, towel, yourself and your referral form filled out by your GP. 

Do I need a referral?

Yes, if you want to receive the medicare rebate then you will need a 'Group Allied Health Services under Medicare for patients with type 2 Diabetes' referral.

What is the cost?

The out of pocket expense is $7.10.

Each sessions is $25 and you will receive $17.90 back from Medicare  

We accept 'Group Allied Health Services under Medicare for patients with type 2 diabetes' referral from your GP. This will allow you to receive the medicare rebate above
